School Closure Notice – Thursday, February 19, 2026 

Prairie Seeds Academy will be closed today, Thursday, February 19, 2026, due to an unexpected building maintenance issue that impacts the safety of our learning environment.

Earlier this morning, a steam pipe burst in the elementary cafeteria. As a result, there are active safety concerns related to heat, pressure, and potential water damage in the affected area. Out of an abundance of caution and in alignment with our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all students, staff, and visitors, we have made the decision to close the school building for the day to allow for immediate assessment and repair by our facilities and maintenance teams.

Today will be treated as a regular school closure day. There will be no e-learning or virtual instruction. 

Our team is actively working with maintenance professionals to resolve the issue as quickly and safely as possible. We will continue to monitor progress throughout the day and will provide updates regarding building access and the status of school for tomorrow as more information becomes available.
